Notary Public Services

With three Notaries on staff, providing more than 25 years of combined experience, there's always someone on duty to serve you.  A Notary Public verifies the signature of an individual, issues an oath (if applicable), and makes a public record of the document and entire transaction.  Therefore, it's imperative that the individual who will be signing appears before the Notary.  He or she will also need to bring a form of valid, current, government-issued, photo ID.

What Does It Cost?  We charge $10.00 per Notarized signature.  For example, if two people would like each one of their signatures Notarized on three copies of one Grant Deed, the total cost would be $60.00.  (Sorry, we do not offer discounts for notarizations on multiple copies of the same document.)

Do I Need An Appointment?  There is no appointment necessary.  A Notary Public is available weekdays from 9:00am until 5:30pm.  We do not take appointments for in-house Notarizations; we take people on a walk-in basis only.

Please note these very important notary rules that many people aren't aware of:

1.  We perform Notarizations between the hours of 9:00am and 5:30pm sharp.  If you arrive at our store at 5:31, then you will be too late to have something notarized.

2.  We must see the entire document, not just the signature page only.  You wouldn't sign a blank check, would you?  Neither would we sign an incomplete document.

3.  The name on your valid ID must have the same elements of the name on your document.  John P. Smith and John Smith are two different people for legal reasons.  And this is a legal transaction.  Common sense may tell us that the photo is the same, but the name must match also.  The only exception is that the id may have more information on it than the document, but not the other way around.  If your id says John P. Smith, you can sign J P Smith, John Smith, or P Smith.  But if you wanted to sign John Paul smith, we would not be able to notarize it because the id doesn't prove to us that the P stands for Paul.

4.  Credit cards with photos are not valid id's.

5.  You absolutely positively cannot copy certify School Transcripts, Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage Licenses, deeds, Naturalization certificates, or apostilles.  It doesn't matter what country they are from, you will need to contact the appropriate agency to obtain certified copies of these documents.

6. The notary cannot act both as a Notary Public and a witness on the same document.  The Notary public is already the official witness so signing again is meaningless and simply not done.  WE DON'T PROVIDE WITNESSES.

7.  WE DON'T PROVIDE WITNESSES.

8.  We do not notarize signatures on wills, period.

9.  We absolutely positively do not stamp and sign on every page.  Just stamping and signing doesn't mean anything, no matter who is requesting the document.  Notaries verify signatures.  We stamp and sign in the midst of Notarial wording near your signature.

10.  Notaries absolutely positively do not notarize photographs.  Notaries verify signatures.
